Dewey was born on July 15, 1943 to the late Dewey Clayton Norris and Vera Elena Williams. He was also preceded in death by a son, Dewey Ray Norris Jr and a sister, Esther Duncan.
No services will be held.
Dewey was employed by National Spinning Company in Whiteville, retiring in 2000 with 30 years of service.
Surviving family includes his wife, Karen Wilkerson Norris of the home; children, Rhonda N. Robinson (Robert) of Chadbourn, William "Billy" Norris (Krisie) of Whiteville, Melinda Gail Stephens (Steve) of Williams Township; siblings, W.J. Norris of Williams Township, Shirley Cribb (Pete) of Whiteville, Geraldine Hinson of Williams Township, Margie Brown of Whiteville, Rita Blackman (Allen) of Whiteville; grandchildren, Robert Robinson Jr. (Marrisa), Daylon Faulk, Ricky Robinson, Cowyn Norris, and Landyn Norris; great-grandchildren, Eris, Jaxon, and Lucas Robinson.
