Dexter Locklear Obituary
Dexter is preceded in death by his parents, Curency and Zelma Locklear, a sister, Annette Locklear, and a nephew Gary Edward Thomas.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Locklear, two sons, Brandon Locklear, and Josh Locklear, one daughter, Erica Brayboy (D.J.), two step-daughters, Tabitha Locklear (Ricky) and Danielle Brayboy (Allen), two brothers, Ralph Locklear (Patricia), Bobby Dean Locklear (Gwen), sister, Peggy Thomas (James Edward), twelve grandchildren, OK Barns Friends, Prospect friends, and a host of relatives and friends.
Dexter was a kind hearted man who truly believed in helping others. His compassion and generosity were felt by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Dexter lived his life with purpose and love, always willing to lend a helping hand. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched.

To my dear cousin Jennifer and my beautiful Erica Jo, Brandon and Josh. You know you all have a special place in my heart and I love you all very much and I felt the same by Dexter. I can certainly understand and know what you are going through. Right now and for days to come, it will be a hard thing to deal with your daddy's passing, but I do know there is One who can give you comfort and peace and will always be there by your side. He will not leave you alone to deal with such a great loss and He stands and waits for you to ask him to come into your heart and allow him to do His will for you all. He knows every tear that stains your pillow and to me, that is a True Love. God can give you a peace that man can not and I pray that you lean on Him for everything you need in your life, but most important your heart and soul. I love you all and I pray your days will be filled with less tears and pain and more laughter and good memories. God bless you all.
