Di Binh Nguyen, age 101, of Spokane, WA, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025. He was born on October 6, 1924, in Vietnam.

Di served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Special Forces Group of the Republic of Vietnam from 1965 to 1975. Following the fall of South Vietnam to communism in 1975, he was imprisoned by the communist regime from 1975 to 1984.

Through the H.O. (Humanitarian Operation) program, a U.S. resettlement initiative for former detainees of communist prisons after the Vietnam War, Di and his family were able to immigrate to the United States. They arrived in America on April 30, 1993.

He cherished his time in America, surrounded by his beloved wife, six children, son in laws, 12 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank and give their greatest and warmest gratitude to Eden Health Care's doctor, nurses, Chaplin Linda, pastor Eschenbacher, and all of those who care for Di during his last day.
