Goldsboro - Retired Sergeant First Class Diamond Gore, age 86, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of service, entrepreneurship, dedication to family and community. He was born to the late William and Maggie McGowan Gore on October 26, 1938, in Kenansville, North Carolina.

To Sherlene, words are hard to come by just knowing that our special cousin Diamond, is no longer with us. We have so many wonderful memories of him. He´s always been such a great guy. Growing up we really enjoyed being around him because he was so much fun. Always talking and laughing. I don´t think he ever met a stranger. He was very friendly to everyone. God blessed him to lived a very good life and he knew it, When he married you, he couldn´t stop smiling because he´d found a good wife. Thank you for loving and caring for him, as you, did until the end. Peace and Blessings, your cousins, The McGowan´s
