Diana J. Baldwin, 84, a beacon of warmth and love, passed away peacefully at home on January 11, 2026, in Keansburg. Born on December 8, 1941, in
Beacon, New York, she lived in Cranford, prior to moving to Keansburg in 1985. Diana's life was a tapestry of dedication to her family, her work, and the many passions that brought joy to her and those around her.
Predeceased by her parents, Larry and Doris Baldwin, Diana's memory is cherished by a loving family. She is survived by her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Maureen Baldwin of Georgia; her caring daughters and son-in-law, Patricia and David Emerson of Colorado and Deborah Szalkowski of Cranford. Her brothers, Bruce Schofield of Idaho and Jim Baldwin of Kentucky, also hold dear the memories they shared. Diana's legacy continues through her four grandchildren, Arthur, Paul, Jacob, and Katie, and her two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Leah, who will miss her deeply.
Diana's professional life was marked by her commitment and service to others. She worked as a secretary for JB Williams. Diana began her journey at the NJ Training School and spent eight years as a communications operator, where her voice became a familiar comfort to those she assisted. Additionally, Diana's time as a bus aide for Shamrock Bus Company highlighted her caring nature and her ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
Beyond her work, Diana found joy and peace in her hobbies. An avid gardener, she had a knack for arranging flowers, creating beauty that would brighten any room. The beach and her love for dancing extended to her zest for life. She enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City. Traveling with her daughter and embracing the vibrancy of life.
Diana's compassion for animals was profound, and she dedicated much of her time to rescuing dogs, providing them with a loving home and a second chance at happiness.
As we bid farewell to Diana J. Baldwin, we celebrate a life lived with purpose, love, and a generosity of spirit that touched everyone she met. Her laughter, her kindness, and her unwavering support will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Diana's life was a beautiful journey that enriched the world, and her spirit will continue to inspire us all.
