Gregory T. Faller, affectionately known as Greg, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on January 13, 2026, at the age of 68 in Holmdel. Born on May 13, 1957, in Trenton, he was raised in Neptune, Toms River, prior to moving to Keansburg in 1999. Greg's warm spirit and kind-hearted nature touched the lives of many throughout his remarkable journey.
Predeceased by his beloved parents, Henry Faller on July 31, 2016, and Dorothy Faller on December 5, 2025, Greg's memory will be cherished and kept alive by his devoted family. He leaves behind his loving wife of 26 years, Barbara Faller of Keansburg, who stood by his side in a partnership filled with love and mutual respect. Greg was a proud father to his son, Shawn, and daughter-in-law Melaine Van Sant of Hazlet, and his two daughters, Mandy Strauss of Forked River and Shannon, and son-in-law Steve Terry of Middletown. His brother, Ronald H. Faller of Keansburg, will remember Greg for the bond they shared throughout their lives. Greg's legacy will continue through his eight adored grandchildren, Michaela, Gabriella, Skylar, Patrick, Luke, Scarlett, Peyton, and Summer, each of whom brought immense joy and laughter into his life.
Greg's professional life was characterized by his dedication and hard work. He served the community through his work at the Red Bank water and sewer department. Greg's earlier years saw him as a professional diver in Florida, an experience that would shape his love for adventure and the great outdoors. His 35 years as a plumber were marked by a commitment to craftsmanship and service, earning him the respect and trust of those he worked with.
Beyond his work, Greg's passions painted the picture of a man who loved life's simple pleasures. He found solace in hiking, embracing the tranquility of nature and the challenge of new trails. Road trips were a favored activity, offering him the chance to explore and capture the beauty of the world. A true fan at heart, Greg never missed an opportunity to cheer on Notre Dame football, reveling in the spirit of the game and the camaraderie it brought.
Greg's evenings were often spent with family, watching TV. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them, whether playing, teaching, or simply being present in their lives.
To have known Greg was to know a man of integrity, humor, and immense kindness. His life was a tapestry of meaningful relationships, a dedication to his work, and a love for the world around him. As we bid farewell to Gregory T. Faller, we celebrate a life well-lived, a man well-loved, and memories that will forever be etched in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
