DIANA DEATON 09/30/1955 - 10/04/2025 Diana Lynn Deaton, 70, of Dillsboro, Ind., passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025. She was born on September 30, 1955, in Batesville, Ind., the daughter of the late Earl Leslie Deaton and Flossie (Wallace) Deaton. Diana dedicated over 20 years of service as a dispatcher with the Aurora Police Department before retiring. In her leisure time, she enjoyed relaxing and watching television. She is survived by her niece, Shannon (Steven) Ricketts. Diana was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Flossie; her brothers, Herbert and David Deaton; as well as her sister, Deborah Kells. Friends and family were received on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Ind. A funeral service followed at 12 p.m. with Pastor Ryan Goode officiating. Interment took place at River View Cemetery, Aurora. Friends and family would like to thank the staff at the Waters of Dillsboro for their kindness and care for Diana. They were her "family" for many years.
