Diana Dolde Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Palmer Funeral Homes - West Chapel on Nov. 12, 2025.
Diana M. Dolde, a woman of intelligence, independence, and quiet sophistication, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, at the age of 78 in her hometown of South Bend, Indiana. Born on January 26, 1947, to the late Edward and Clarice (Paidle) Ferger, Diana lived a life defined by purpose, integrity, and thoughtful determination.

A lifelong South Bend resident, Diana was known for her keen mind and unwavering standards. She carried herself with confidence and grace, preferring substance over show and sincerity over sentiment. Those who knew her admired her strength, her insight, and her ability to navigate life with clarity and self-assurance.

Professionally, Diana's career reflected both her intellect and her commitment to service. For more than two decades, she served as Development Director at Corvilla, where her leadership and strategic vision advanced opportunities for others. She also devoted 20 years to the March of Dimes and spent five years at Lesea Broadcasting - each chapter marked by excellence, discipline, and meaningful impact.

Outside of work, Diana appreciated the finer details of life. She was an accomplished cook who found joy in entertaining - not for display, but for the connection and conversation that came with it. Her gatherings were marked by good food, wit, and her understated charm.

Diana is survived by her brother, James Ferger, and his wife, Debra, along with her niece, Jamie Richard, and nephew, Josh Ferger. They remember her as a steady, insightful presence whose wisdom, humor, and independence left a lasting impression.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place with no service. Palmer Funeral Home – West Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Donations can be made in Diana's name to Order of St. Luke, 19641 Tammy Lane, North Fort Myers, FL 33917.
