William Graham Dolde

Naples, Florida - William "Bill" Graham Dolde was born on August 18, 1942, in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, the beloved only child of Ruth Graham and William Edward Dolde and passed away on August 20, 2024. He was a member of Connellsville High School's class of 1960, graduated from Allegheny College in 1964 where he was a tight end and captain for the football team, and later earned his law degree from Case Western Reserve University. Bill joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a special agent in 1968 and was assigned to the Miami field office in 1969. He dedicated nearly three and a half decades to the Bureau, serving as the Chief Division Counsel and Ethics Officer for the Miami office for 20 years before his retirement in 2002. Upon his retirement Bill moved to Naples, Florida, where he served as a traffic court hearing officer for the Twentieth Judicial Circuit of Florida in Collier County for several years. A quiet and contemplative man, Bill was not known as an avid talker but when he spoke, people knew he was saying something worth listening to. He was proud to be a 50-year member of the Florida Bar Association and volunteered with and held numerous leadership positions for the South Florida Chapter during his legal career. He gave his time to his community as a coach for Pop Warner football and Khoury League softball in Miami, and while his teams rarely won championship titles, his players always had fun and learned the value of sportsmanship. Bill was passionate about history and especially enjoyed reading and learning about the Civil War. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, and watching NASCAR and Seinfeld. He is survived by his wife, Judy; son, Bill Dolde (Denae); daughter, Jenna Dolde (Daniel Farnsworth); and step-daughters Kim Griffith (Mike) and Kelley Bashara (David). He also leaves behind his adoring grandchildren who affectionately knew him as Poppy: Chloe Dolde, Conor Farnsworth, Emmaline Farnsworth, Jonathon Griffith, Bailey Bashara, and David Bashara. In lieu of flowers or other tokens of remembrance, please go cheer at a kid's sporting event, watch a NASCAR race, laugh at an episode of Seinfeld, or volunteer your time to a worthy cause in his memory.
