Diana Marie Getz

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Diana Marie Getz, affectionately known as Dee Dee and MiMi, on January 2, 2026. Born on September 2, 1958, in Philadelphia, PA, Diana lived her life with an infectious charisma that lit up every room she entered. Her love was a beacon that guided us all, her support was a pillar we all leaned upon, and her resilience an inspiration for all who had the privilege to know her.

Diana was a loving daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother, who cherished her family above all else. She was a retired mammographer, committed to her work and passionate about breast cancer support. Her hobbies were as varied as her interests; she found joy in walking, gardening, crocheting, knitting, crafting, baking, dancing, and had a fondness for casinos and antique shopping. She loved visiting her daughter in Arizona and was a dedicated caregiver to her parents. In her passing, Diana's spirit of giving continued, saving two lives as an organ donor.

She is survived by her father, Thomas Rockey; her son William Jr. and daughter Jennifer Highfill; her son-in-law Todd Highfill and daughter-in-law Melissa Maldonado; her grandchildren Angelia Lynn Hayes, Kenneth Logan Highfill, Kaelynn Mary Highfill, and Haley Andrea Hayes; and her sisters Jacqueline DeWan (Richard) and Michele Cahill. Diana will also be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Diana was reunited with her mother, Lillian Rockey, her sister, Eileen Adams and her husband Robert L. Getz who passed before she did.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet her family Friday, January 9, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at Lambie Funeral Home, 8000 Rowland Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19136. A celebration of Diana's life will follow, 11:30 am at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the family's request.

Diana's story is not just about the dates of her birth and death but about the time in between, where she touched the hearts of many and left indelible footprints of love and kindness.
