Diana Rose Halgren, 76, of Franklin Grove, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at her home.
Diana was born on March 7, 1948, in Sterling, the daughter of John and Marie (Dieterle) Halgren.
She is survived by two daughters, Michelle (Richard) Bartlett, Reann (Brandon) Miller, both of Franklin Grove; four grandchildren, AnnaMarie "Grandma's First Little Helper", then Emmelyn, Brook, with Tori being last but "The Favorite"; three brothers, Ronald Halgren, Merle (Betty) Halgren, Denny Halgren; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Diana was proceeded in death by her parents and ex-husband, Raymond Reidl.
She worked in a variety of employment from factory to health care, including self-employed as a pet groomer, seamstress, and lastly, creating jewelry. She loved & enjoyed time with her family, and partying with all, especially her friend MJ.
She was born of a congenital heart defect, but lived as a "medical miracle" time and time again.
"FEARLESSLY AUTHENTIC" - if you met her, you'll never forget her. Full of life, love, and laughter, with her opinion not sparing.
Always petite, in her younger years, she was nicknamed "Twiggy", but in later years, because of her one-of-a-kind character of spunk, she was known as Granny (as in Daisy May Clampett).
It's very hard to say goodbye to a legend, but there's peace knowing she's in heaven with Jesus.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00pm -3:00 pm on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Atlasta Park in Franklin Grove. Burial of cremated rights will be at Oak Knoll Cemetery in Sterling.
Arrangements were completed by Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon.
