Diana L. Kelnhofer, age 70, of Nekoosa, WI peacefully passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 in Nekoosa, WI, surrounded by her loving family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nekoosa, WI. Rev. John Swing will officiate the service. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at the church. Burial rites will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Nekoosa immediately following the service.
Diana was born on June 4, 1955 in Elgin, Illinois to Rolf and Inge (Modersitzki) Dolens, and was the oldest of three siblings. She spent most of her childhood growing up in Illinois with her parents, brothers, aunts, uncles and cousins. She graduated from Woodstock High School in 1973. Soon after, her family moved to Wisconsin.
She married the love of her life Roger on September 6, 1975 at Saint Philip Church in Rudolph, WI. Together they welcomed Jennifer in 1976, Phillip in 1978, Pam in 1981 and Stacy in 1983. Diana's true love and joy came from staying home and raising her children. She also had a tremendous love for her dogs.
Diana was a phenomenal cook. She spent much of her free time reading and doing cross stitch. Her summers were spent at the family's camper, enjoying fishing, reading and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed biking with Roger and spent much of her time at her mother's farm. Once her children were grown, she continued sharing her caring heart, working in home health care. She delighted in her role as a grandma and loved spending time with her grandkids.
Diana will always be remembered as a kind, gentle and humble woman. She always put everyone else's needs before her own. As Roger would say, "She is the most beautiful woman in the world, inside and out."
Diana is survived by her loving husband Roger, her children: Jennifer Kelnhofer, Phillip (Alicia) Kelnhofer, Pamela (Brandon) Sparks, Stacy (Tony) Wolf and her 8 grandchildren: Dakota, Brandon, Alex, Mason, Trevin, Gage, Axel and Gabi. She is further survived by her 2 brothers Roy (Linda) Dolens and Harry (Nadine) Dolens, mother-in-law Natalie Kelnhofer, and in-laws Susan (Dennis) Ashbeck, Daniel (Joan) Kelnhofer, Patrick Kelnhofer, Mark Kelnhofer, Douglas Kelnhofer, Karla Linzmeier and many nieces and nephews.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents Inge (Bud) Vruwink and Rolf Dolens, father-in-law Leo Kelnhofer, sisters-in-law Jacqueline Kelnhofer and Kay Kelnhofer.
We would like to thank Heartland Hospice, Aspirus Cancer Care, UW Cancer Center and all her doctors and nurses for their exceptional and compassionate care.
