Diana Jo Pearson, 79, of Ridgecrest, Ca. Passed away peacefully January 30th, 2026 surrounded by her family.
Diana was born in 1946 in San Diego, Ca to Leland and Evelyn Sander. She graduated from Granada Hills High School in 1964. On March 4th, 1966 she married the love of her life, Don Pearson. Don and Diana lived in Port Hueneme while Don served his country. They welcomed their son David into the world in 1967, and moved to Pearsonville, Ca in 1969, where they had their daughter Debbi, in 1971.
Diana was a loving wife, mother, and devoted grandmother. She had a kindred spirit and made friends wherever she went. Diana became the postmaster of the Little Lake Post Office in 1971 and moved to the Ridgecrest Post Office in 1980. She retired in 1985, where she became the office manager for Don Pearson Enterprises. She enjoyed racing in the powder puff division at Pearson Speedway and was the track champion several years. Diana was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, holding several callings from camp director to relief society president. Diana loved traveling and spending time with her grandkids. Her family will miss her hugs, sense of humor, tacos, breakfast goop, and popcorn pudding.
Diana is survived by her children, David and his wife Pam Pearson, Debbi and her husband Richard Benites, six grandchildren, Amanda Green, Dillon and his wife Cortney Cromwell, Robin and her husband Raymond Brown, Bryce Benites, Micah and her husband Logan Derise, Deven Pearson and nine great-grandchildren Leslie, Elijah, Killian, Axl, Everly, Ecco, Max, Ethan, and Ella as well as her sister Dee Zanzucchi, and many nieces and nephews. Diana is preceded in death by her husband Don, and her parents.
Funeral services will be held on March 2nd, 2026 at 10 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 501 N. Norma Ridgecrest, Ca. Graveside services and reception to follow.
