Diana Siefker, age 87, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025, surrounded by family. Diana was born in
Detroit, Michigan, and grew up in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. She attended Central Michigan University before settling in Alma, Michigan, where she raised her family. It was in Alma that she especially enjoyed building a home filled with love, surrounded by wonderful neighbors who became lifelong friends.
She spent her career with General Telephone and later Verizon, where she proudly served as an Operator Service Manager. During her time at Verizon, Diana moved to Noblesville, Indiana, continuing her professional work while embracing a new community and building lasting friendships. She was respected for her dedication, leadership, and warm spirit throughout her career.
Following her retirement, Diana continued her lifelong commitment to helping others by serving as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for Hamilton County, Indiana. In this role, she stood up for the needs and safety of vulnerable children, offering them compassion, stability, and a strong voice during difficult times. Her advocacy made a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of the families she served.
Outside of her professional and volunteer work, Diana enjoyed a full and active life. She loved playing golf and especially treasured her time at the bridge table. Some of her happiest moments were spent playing bridge with her close friends, sharing stories, laughter, and warm companionship.
Diana is lovingly remembered by her son, Jeff, and his wife Diane; her daughter, Jennifer, and her husband Mark; and her granddaughter, Courtney, and husband Adam. She is also survived by her step-grandchildren: Taneshia (Dale), Lawrence (Katie), Tyler (Lindsay), Chelsea (Alex), and Matthew. Her great-grandchildren are Bronson, Wesley, and Freyja. She is also remembered by her step–great-grandchildren: Dyanna, Lawrence, Brooklyn, Naomi, Weston, and Benson. Diana was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Hazel; her brother, Bob Messner, and his wife Nancy; and her ex-husband, Bruce Siefker.
Diana will be remembered for her kindness, her generosity, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. Her gentle spirit, strong sense of service, and deep love for her family will be forever cherished.
An End of Life celebration will be held on December 10, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at the Doig Conference Center at Michigan Masonic Home in Alma, Michigan. All who knew and loved Diana are welcome to attend and celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Child Advocacy of Gratiot County in Diana's honor.
