Diane Lee Barrow, age 79, of Dover, TN, passed away peacefully at Vanderbilt Hospital in Clarksville, TN, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on July 16, 1946, in Clarksville, TN, the beloved daughter of James Cullum Greenhill and Nellie Keatts Greenhill.
Diane loved her family deeply and cherished spending time with them in her home. Cooking was her greatest joy, and preparing home-cooked meals for her family brought her immense happiness. Playing games and spending time with her grandchildren created treasured memories that will forever be held close by those who loved her. She loved having a house full, to have all her children and all of their friends that came to experience a sleep-overs was a big highlight of her life. Diane lived life to the fullest and left lasting memories with her family. Above all, Diane loved the Lord and when her health allowed, she attended New Haven United Methodist Church.
She worked as a cook for a barge company, where she became well known for her home-style cooking. The crew deeply appreciated her meals and the care she put into every dish.
In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by the love of her life, Marshal Barrow; her son, Timothy Leon Barrow; and her grandchildren, Josh and Dylan Barrow.
She is survived by her cherished daughter, Nicole Hanna (Frank); brother, James Marty Greenhill; sister, Jane Burkhart (Donnie); grandchildren, Spencer Barrow, Brandon Barrow, Jaylee Burkhart, Grace Hanna, Terrylee Burkhart, and Wyatt Hanna; two great-grandchildren; her goddaughter, Shelby Nichols; and her best friend of over 60 years, Pat Northam.
In keeping with Diane's wishes, she will be cremated. A Celebration of Life service will be planned at a later date.
