In Loving Memory of Diane Carla Workman.
Diane Carla Workman, age 77, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026. Diane was born on June 22, 1948, in Park City.
Diane was the beloved daughter of Wanda Joyce Shields and Carl J. Workman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Clay Bartlett; her cherished daughter, Cammie Denese Burdine Leedom; her precious great-granddaughter, Arianna; her father, Carl J. Workman; and her sisters, Brenda Kirk, Jill Sewell, Michelle Kilfoyle, and Barbara Workman. We find comfort in imagining their joyful reunion.
She leaves behind her son Shayne (Tara) Burdine.
And though life took she and her son Troy Mitchell on separate paths for many years, they found their way back to one another, and their recent reunion was a profound blessing to Diane. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Andrew (Emily) Burdine, Wesley (Trista) Burdine, Austin (Jairo) Burdine, Jaimee Davis, Katelyn Messer, Nicole (Cody) Carithers, Liam, and Hunter Burdine; and her great-grandchildren Talyn, Paxton, Mason, Lorelei, Tevyn, Raegan, and Grey, each of whom she loved more than words could ever express.
Diane was the most selfless and gentle woman you could ever meet. She was resilient in every season of life and chose to live fully and faithfully until she felt her work here was complete. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the center of her world, and she lived each day in devoted love for them.
Service was not simply something Diane did — it was who she was. She lived her life in service to others and carried that mantle with deep purpose and quiet strength. Her kindness, steady presence, and unwavering love shaped generations and will continue to guide her family in the years to come. Her legacy is one of love, sacrifice, resilience, and faith. She will be profoundly missed and forever cherished.
