1956-2013 BENNINGTON Diane Sandra Cardillo, age 57, a resident of Main Street in Bennington died on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at the Bennington Health and Rehabiltation Center following a year long illness. She was born in North Adams, MA on September 26, 1956 and was the daughter of the late Francis Cardillo and Marilyn (Ruttenbur) Eigen who lives in Pittsfield, MA. She attended local schools and graduated from McCann High School. For several years she has been employed at the McDonald's Restaurant in Bennington. Diane was a hard worker and dedicated employee. She found great pleasure in helping those in need. Her home was always open to assist others. Besides her mother, she is survived by her daughter Joanna Cardillo of Schenectady, New York, two sisters: Karen Daigle and her husband Mark of Chesire, MA and Barbara Cardillo of Cheshire, MA., her brothers Brent Cardillo and his wife Sarah, of Chicago, IL. and Francis Kristofferson of Boston, MA. Her best friend Terry Woodard of Bennington, as well as aunts uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St. in Bennington at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in the family lot in Eastlawn Cemetery in Williamstown. MA. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA and Hospice of SVHC or to the Bennington Health and Rehabilitation Center Activities Fund through the Mahar and Son Funeral Home.
