Raymond A. Cardillo, 72, passed away peacefully on Sunday May 25, 2025, with his loving wife and daughter by his side. He was the beloved husband of Deborah A. (Silvia) Cardillo for nearly 50 years. Raymond is survived by his devoted daughter Melissa Pitocco. He also leaves behind his close relatives David Silvia, Denise Silvia, Kevin Silvia, Shelly Silvia; his future son-in-law Ken Hart and his beloved godfather Robert Ferrante. He will be missed dearly, especially by his loyal dogs Princess, Ace and Keno.
Raymond was a remarkable man who lived life to the fullest. Working for the Rhode Island Department of Corrections for 40 years, Raymond was an incredibly hard worker who took great pride in supporting his family. He found great joy in going out to eat with his family and friends – those closest to him knew that he was more reliable than Google when it came to telling you about any restaurant in Rhode Island.
One of the biggest New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fans around, Ray would watch every game that he possibly could. In his free time, he enjoyed visiting Twin River with his family and friends, but before each day was over, he would be sure to check in with his godfather, Uncle Bobby. Ray would greatly look forward to that phone call every day.
The holidays were a special time for Ray. He made sure that each one was special for his family and they returned that favor by indulging his famous sweet tooth. No matter what was going on in his life, he made sure that his beloved wife Debbie received a handwritten card each holiday. While holidays won't be the same without him, his love for his family will never die.
Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation from 2:00pm to 5:00pm on Sunday, June 1, 2025, in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. Warwick. Raymond's funeral service will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025 at 11:00am in the Funeral Home. His burial, with committal prayers, will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
