Edward Jeffrey Wilks

Edward J. Wilks, 59, fell asleep in Christ on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Rebecca (Haughton). Edward was the loving father of Amanda G. (Wilks) Woodbury, father-in-law to Nathan Woodbury and beloved "Papa" to Tanner and Charlie Woodbury.

Born in Providence, Edward was the cherished son of Robert Wilks Jr. and the late Roberta Wilks. He was also the beloved son of Rebecca (Magnus) Geiger, who predeceased him, and is survived by his stepfather, Joseph Geiger. One of three sons, Edward is remembered with love by his brothers, James Wilks III and Brian Geiger. He was the son-in-law of Paul and the late Carol Haughton, and is also survived by many dear brothers- and sisters-in-law, along with a large extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews who will miss him deeply.

Edward was a devoted member of the Cranston Christadelphian Ecclesia in Cranston, RI. He especially treasured the camping trips shared with his extended family, often recalling with joy the time spent together at Old Holbrook Place Campground in Sutton, MA. Above all, Edward's greatest love was his family, who will forever miss him and hold him in their hearts.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 9:00am to 11:00am on Saturday, August 23, 2025 in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. Warwick. His funeral service will be held at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Edward's burial will be private.
