Deborah Wilks Obituary

Deborah Yvonne Wilks, age 69, passed away on July 29, 2025 at 7:11am at Fairlane Gardens Nursing Home in Reading, Pa. Debi was born on August 26, 1955 at Chester County Hospital in West Chester, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Jesse Lee Wilks and the late Harold "Bud" Wilks. She graduated from Downingtown High School in 1973. Debi was a homemaker and was known as "The Community Mom" because she was not only a mother figure to her children / family but also to the community. She enjoyed cross word puzzles and a variety of game shows. She loved Missy Elliott, The Patriots, The 49ers and the Pistons. Debi is survived by her children Rodney "Rashaad" Lyles, Rachelle Roberta Lyles, Jarrod Farris and Clovis Smith, her grandchildren, Shaadnay Lyles, Rodney "Rashaad" Lyles Jr and Calob Smith. She is also survived by her Sisters Joan Lee and Thelma Lee, her Aunt Janet "Pie" Christy, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Debi was preceeded in death by her mother and father, Jesse and Harold Wilks, siblings, Donald "Texas" Lee, Herbert "Tommy" Lee, Robert "Jabbo" Lee, Evalina "Micky" Gravely , Jaqueline Lambert and Harolene Williams.
