Diane Kay (Grobner) Choukalas, 75 of Maple Grove, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home on February 28th, 2026.

Diane was born in Owatonna MN to Clifford and Jeanette (Ditlevson) Grobner on April 8th, 1950. She graduated from Mankato State University where she found a love of radio broadcasting and maintained many friends that lasted to this day.

Diane retired from Honeywell after a rewarding career and immersed herself in the world of quilting. Many family and friends were rewarded with these beautiful gifts.

Throughout her life Diane had a special place for her cats. They were constant companions and provided great joy to her.

Diane was so proud of the two sons she raised. They are a product of her resilience, independence, and faithfulness to friends and family. She will be missed greatly.

Diane is survived by two sons Stephen (Jennifer) of Robbinsdale MN, and Christopher (Lindsey) of San Francisco CA. Four grandchildren, Jacqueline, Claire, Isa and Pia. A brother Roger (Janet) of Owatonna MN and several nieces and nephews. Diane is preceded in death by her Parents, and Sister, Mary Grobner Dahl.

Diane will be buried in St. John's Cemetery in Owatonna MN. A celebration of life will be planned for this Spring with details to follow.

In lieu of flowers, Diane requested that memorials be made to the Hennepin County Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley MN or a charity of your choice.
