Diane Curington Obituary
Born in Jacksonville, FL, Diane attended Brenau University and the University of Georgia. She taught Elementary English at Candler Street Elementary, Enota Elementary, and was one of two teachers when Lakeview Academy was founded. Among Diane's hobbies was duplicate bridge, traveling and working in her flower gardens.
Diane is survived by her husband Jim Curington, along with two children, Bill Curington of Athens, GA and Ashley Curington of Suwanee, GA. She has 4 grandchildren: James, Brice and Stephanie Curington of Athens and Mason Anthony of Suwanee. Next of kin includes Fran Edwards of Blairsville, GA.
There will be a small private ceremony at Diane's home on May 16,2025, and a public celebration service of her life will be on Friday May 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Gainesville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in memory of Diane R. Curington to Eagle Ranch, 5500 Union Church Rd., Flowery Branch, GA., 30542

I am so sorry to hear of Diane´s passing. She was always so kind and nice, it was as if you were the person she most wanted to see every time we met. My condolences to Jim, Ashley and the rest of the family in their time of grief and reflection. I will be praying for all of you.
