Diane C. Deputa, 68, beloved wife, mother, and nana, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026, in the care of Penn State St. Joseph's Hospital. She and her loving husband, Anthony, had recently relocated to Sinking Spring.
She was born to the late Antonio "Louie" and Ann (Silverstein) Rodrigo. For many years Diane was a member of St. Henry's Roman Catholic Church of Bayonne, NJ.
For over 45 years Diane worked with the Army Corps of Engineers, where she served as a dedicated civil employee and retired as the Chief of Human Resources for the New York District. Her last assignment was with the Investigator General. Diane's exemplary contributions were recognized with many accolades over the years, including Professional of the Year.
Her discipline and dedication extended beyond the workplace, as demonstrated by her achieved rank of 3rd degree Black Belt in karate.
Affectionately known to many as "the mayor," Diane was loved by everyone she met. A true lover of all things Disney, she shared that joy with her family and friends. She was also a passionate sports fan, particularly supporting the New York Giants and the New York Mets.
Left to treasure Diane's memory is her loving husband, Anthony Deptula; her daughters, Kaitlin DeMarco, wife of Anthony, of North Brunswick, NJ, and Jennifer Haupt, wife of Zachary of Sinking Spring; and her beloved grandson, Landon Haupt. She is also survived by her sister, Janice Rodrigo, partner of Lori; her brother, Louis Rodrigo, husband of Lisa; her sister-in-law, Rose Gurbisz, wife of Walter; as well as her nieces, nephews, and their families.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Thomas Deptula and his late wife, Shirley.
Friends and family are welcome gather on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Friday, January 30, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 12:30 p.m. for visitation and viewing at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA 19611. Committal Services will be held on Friday at Pleasant View Cemetery, 650 Fritztown Rd, Reading, PA 19608.
