Diane Marie Dooge (née DenOtter), age 71, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025, in Sumterville, Florida. Born on July 14, 1954, in Grosse Ile, Michigan. She moved to Inverness, Florida in 2013. Diane lived a life marked by compassion, dedication, and deep love for her family and community.

A proud graduate of Grosse Ile Township High School’s Class of 1972, Diane pursued her passion for caring for others by earning a bachelor's degree in nursing from St. Clair County Community College in Michigan in 1979. She went on to serve as a Licensed Practical Nurse for over four decades—a career that reflected her generous spirit and unwavering commitment to helping those in need.

Diane’s life was centered around the people she loved. She was a devoted mother to her five children: Mark (Jennifer) Marsiglio, Angelene Wieske (Joe Alexander), Andrew (Carly) Wieske, Suzanne Wieske (Eric Geiger), and Miranda Wieske. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren—Dustin Marsiglio, Donald Wieske, Jon Larson, Benjamin Wieske, Abby Stowe, Mya Remmers, and Hayden Remmers—and two great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.

She also shared a close bond with her brothers Dale DenOtter and Douglas DenOtter. Diane was preceded in death by her loving husband Neil Dooge; her father Gerald DenOtter; her mother Marion Boyd; and her grandparents.

Family was the heart of Diane’s world. She found joy in attending school events for her grandchildren and making every holiday memorable with thoughtful touches and festive cheer. Whether it was dancing a goofy dance or singing a silly song to bring smiles to those around her, Diane had a gift for creating warmth and laughter wherever she went.

Her home was often filled with the comforting aroma of home-cooked meals—a reflection of the care she poured into everything she did. She loved spending time at the beach with family, reading a good book or coloring quietly at home, or simply enjoying a favorite show with her cat nestled in her lap and coffee in hand.

Diane had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel and explore new places. Despite distances, she remained deeply connected to friends and extended family through regular calls and messages that kept bonds strong across miles.

Faith played an essential role throughout Diane’s life. A devoted Presbyterian, she attended First Presbyterian Church in Inverness, Florida—either in person or online—finding strength and guidance through worship that shaped the woman she became.

Those who knew Diane will remember her as loving, kind-hearted, adventurous, goofy yet wise—a woman whose strength uplifted others and whose generosity left lasting impressions on all who crossed her path.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Diane’s memory and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
