Diane Dziedzic Obituary

She was born on January 8, 1945, in Utica, the daughter of Stephen and Esther (Zuranski) Patkowski. Diane was a graduate of Utica Free Academy and continued her education at the Utica School of Commerce. On September 19, 1964, Diane married Edward A. Dziedzic in the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, a blessed union of 60 years. She was employed as a secretary with Marcy Correctional Facility prior to retiring.
Surviving besides her beloved husband, Edward are two sons, Michael E. Dziedzic and Stephen P. Dziedzic; sisters-in-laws and a brother-in-law, Arlene Dziedzic, Jean and Jim Freeland and Diana Dziedzic; cherished grandchildren, Dominica, Michael, Jamie and Heather; great-grandchildren, Walter, Parker, Anthony, Brandon, Olivia and Grace; nieces, nephews and cousins, Cheryl and Gene Primarolo and David Miller. Diane was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Jim Walsh.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday, May 8th, from 9 to 10 a.m. at McGrath, Myslinski, Kowalczyk & Nunn Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd, Utica. Funeral services will commence following visitation at 10 a.m. from the funeral home and 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart & St. Mary, Our Lady of Czestochowa, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum.
Diane's family would like to thank Sitrin Health Care Center - Aspen Unit for the love, care, and compassion shown her during her stay. Also, the doctors, nurses and staff at the Wynn Hospital.
Remembrances in Diane's name may be made to Sacred Heart & St. Mary, Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
