Diane Senjem Foss, age 84, passed away peacefully at her home on February 24, 2025. Born on January 27, 1941, in Kasson, Minnesota, to Lester and Esther Senjem, Diane lived a life full of love, music, and dedication to her family and career.
Diane graduated from Hayfield High School in 1959. After graduation, she was employed by the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, as a Medical Secretary, and in her later years by Lutheran Social Services as a Receptionist at the P.A. Peterson Home in Rockford, Illinois where she devoted many years of her life to helping others with her skills and compassion.
An accomplished musician, Diane brought joy to her friends and family with her accordion and beautiful singing. She was particularly fond of performing "You Are My Sunshine" and other beloved songs alongside her sisters, Ardis and Jill, creating cherished memories for all who had the pleasure of listening.
Diane's deep faith in the Lord was a guiding light throughout her life. Her legacy is carried on by her loving husband, Bob, whom she married in 1961. Together, they raised five children: Dan (Dawn), Tom, Tim (Angela), Tamara, and Mitchell (Becky). Diane was a proud grandmother to eleven grandchildren: Nathanael, Abigail, Samantha, Nicholas, Amanda, Hadley, Holland, Henley, Alexa, Haisley, and Camden, who will all remember her warmth and kindness.
Cremation rites will be performed with a celebration of life to follow at a yet undetermined time and location. The family will gather to honor Diane's memory, sharing stories and music in tribute to a woman who touched their lives in so many wonderful ways.
Diane Senjem Foss will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends and in the melodies of the music she loved to play and sing.
