Diane Goodwiler Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jan. 20, 2025.
It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Diane Goodwiler who peacefully went to be with the Lord on January 17, 2025 at the age of 82. She leaves behind a legacy of pure love, unshakable faith, class and unwavering integrity that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Diane was born on October 11, 1942 to Lyle and Gladys Dowling in Boscobel Wisconsin. Growing up on a farm Diane learned the value of perseverance, the beauty of nature and the importance of family. She often spoke fondly of those formative years, sharing stories of farm life that were filled with both hard work and moments of joy. Her ability to find humor in the simplest things was a gift to all who knew her. Her laughter was contagious, and her wit was unmatched.
She was truly blessed to marry her best friend, Ronald Goodwiler, with whom she shared a beautiful marriage of 52 years. Together, they built a life grounded in mutual respect, unwavering commitment and a deep abiding love. Together they raised five sons in which were their pride and joy.
A devoted servant of Christ, Diane lived her life centered in her deep love for Jesus. Her faith was the cornerstone of everything she did, and she showed us all what it means to live with compassion, kindness and grace. Her prayers were a constant source of comfort and strength to those around her, and she touched countless lives with her selflessness and devotion to the teachings of Christ.
Her love for her family was immeasurable. A nurturing mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, she gave of herself wholeheartedly, always putting the needs of others above her own. Her love was unconditional, and when she walked into a room her presence was felt by everyone.
In addition to her deep love for family and faith, Diane was the embodiment of class and integrity. She carried herself with grace, dignity and a quiet strength that commanded respect from all who encountered her. Whether in moments of joy or challenge, she maintained an unwavering sense of honor and character, inspiring those around her to do what is right, no matter the circumstances.
Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of love, faith, class and integrity will forever live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. We take comfort in knowing that she is now with her Savior, resting in His eternal love.
