Diane was born on January 5, 1955 in
Chicago, IL, daughter to the late Wesley and Margaret (Meyers) Palmgren. Diane grew up in Bark River and remained a lifelong resident. She was a member of the class of 1973 at Bark River-Harris School.
On May 26, 1973, Diane married her former husband, Charles Inman at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Schaffer, Michigan. They made their home in Germany due to her husband's military assignment and had their first son Jeffery. When they returned to the United States, they welcomed their second son Jason in lower Michigan. While in lower Michigan, Diane taught adult Calligraphy and ceramics at St. Charles School in
St. Charles, MI. When she returned to Bark River, she became a member and eventually employed at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in

Diane has amazing artistic and musical talents. Diane enjoyed painting and sculpting different religious statues. Over the years, she restored many of the religious statues that can be found in St. Elizebeth Ann Seton's Church. She also painted and drew some of the most incredible pictures of wildlife and outdoor scenery. Most of which went unseen by many. She had a great eye for photography and always captured wildlife, birds, insects, and even her grandchildren and others at the best possible moment. She sometimes could even be found climbing into a bush to capture a butterfly or bee. Besides her art, she loved creative writing short stories and poems, ceramics, playing music she wrote on the keyboard, playing guitar, watching movies, and her birds. In her younger years, she also won numerous awards during her teens in rifle club.
Among her survivors include her two sons, Jeffery (Jamie) Inman of
Seymour, Wisconsin, and Jason (Suzanne) Inman of Schaffer, Michigan; sister, Leslie Gilbertson of Royal Oak, MI; three grandchildren, Daniel, Nicholas, and Riley Inman.
