With profound sorrow and love, we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Diane Locklear, who left us peacefully on January 3, 2025, at the age of 64. Although life was marked by physical challenges, it was also filled with strength, love, and joy.
She taught us all what it truly means to live with courage and grace. Despite being totally disabled, she had an incredible spirit that could light up any room. Her laughter, smile, and warmth brought happiness to all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
As a sister, Diane was the embodiment of kindness, love, and unconditional support. She may not have been able to speak, but she communicated through her heart - a heart full of love. To her family, she was a source of endless inspiration, teaching us to appreciate the small joys in life and to never take a moment for granted.
Though her body was frail, her mind and spirit were vibrant, and she deeply touched the lives of those around her. She was known for her incredible resilience and her ability to find happiness in the simplest things, reminding us all, that every life, no matter the challenges, has immeasurable value.
Diane was preceded in death by her loving parents, Beatrice and Willie "June" Locklear, and a sister Amanda Locklear LaBoy.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: Two brothers: Gerald Locklear (Angelia), of Rowland, North Carolina and Bruce Locklear, Fort Lauderdale, Florida Two sisters Carolyn Blanks of Lumberton, North Carolina and Penny Oxendine of Maxton, North Carolina.
In addition to her biological siblings, Diane was raised alongside Joshua Locklear (Bethany) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Krystal Lambert (Steven) of the home. She was also surrounded by a group of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, who offered their support and assistance in her care.
She will be forever missed by her family and friends who will carry her memory with them always. She has left an indelible mark on our hearts.
Rest in peace, sweet Diane. Your strength, beauty, and love will continue to inspire us every day.
