Diane R. Markham, 64, of East Moline, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at home.
Services to celebrate Diane’s life will begin at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, February 15, at Riverside Church – a Community of Hope, 415 W 53rd Street, Davenport, immediately followed by a luncheon. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family.
Diane was born November 1, 1961, in Peoria, Illinois, to parents Leroy and Martha “Marty” (Guttman) Markham. She graduated from Galesburg High School.
Growing up around her family’s restaurant, “Markham’s Family Restaurant”, Diane fulfilled a dream of owning and operating her own restaurant with “Diane’s” in Galesburg. In more recent years, she found joy in her work at Two Rivers Massage in Moline.
A woman of strong faith, Diane enjoyed her time worshipping and participating in Bible studies at Riverside Church in LeClaire, Iowa, now located in Davenport, Iowa. Above all else, Diane was most proud of her role as “Grandma.” When able, she loved attending family gatherings, where she especially enjoyed playing games—Scattergories being a favorite—and simply spending time with her grandchildren.
Diane is survived by her two daughters, Jessica (Anthony) Royse of Moline, and Cherie Green of Coal Valley; her pride and joy, grandchildren, Riley (fiancé, Abril) Zeglin, Dejah Royse, Lailah Royse, Anthem Royse, Wrigley Schradeya, and Weston Schradeya; siblings, Anthony (Amanda) Markham of Asbury, Iowa, Kim Melton, and Tami Melton, both of Galesburg; her other siblings, Paul (Jay) Wilkinson, Jason (Didi) Harden, Corey (Holly) Wilkinson, and Devon (Eric) Hodges; and many nieces and nephews, and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martha “Marty” and John Melton, Leroy and Joan Markham, and birth-mother, Sheila Wilkinson.
