Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at her home, with her family at her side. Age 56 years.
The daughter of the late Franklin Sr and Donna (Boucher) Baase, Diane was born on May 22, 1969, in Saginaw, Michigan, and grew up in Burt. She attended Baker College. Diane married Brian Franklin, on August 16, 2014. They shared many wonderful years together. He survives her. Diane was a dedicated manager for multiple restaurants. She was a person of faith and lived her life as a proud Christian. Diane had a variety of interests, including fishing, sewing, and cooking, which she pursued with great passion. Her love for music and singing added another dimension to her vibrant personality. Known for her sense of humor, she delighted in making others laugh and spreading joy through her clever jokes. Above all, Diane cherished the time spent with her family and loved ones. Diane truly lived life to the fullest, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Surviving are her husband, Brian Franklin; daughter, Diana (Jacob McKay) Mathis; sons, Skyler (Caroline) Franklin, Tristin Franklin; grandchildren, Abel McKay, Isabella McKay, Ella Bella McKay; mother-in-law, Patsy Franklin; sisters, Mary (Paul) Szymanski, Angela (Donald) Smith; sisters-in-law, Daphne Baase Ledbetter, Cathy (Dustin) Crosby; brothers-in-law, David Norris, Robert (Kristy) Franklin; brother and sister by faith, Matt and Tina Jacobs. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Besides her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her brother, Franklin Baase II; and her sisters, Jessie Baase, Donna Baase, Connie Snow.
Funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 8, 2025, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 5700 Dixie Hwy, Saginaw, MI 48601. Rev. Jerry Larkin will officiate. Honoring Diane’s wishes, cremation will follow. Friends may visit the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral chapel. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to American Heart Association or the American Kidney Fund.
