MCINTYRE, Douglas "Doug" – of Birch Run, formerly of Grand Blanc, age 71, died unexpectedly on Monday, November 24, 2025, at his residence. Funeral service will be held at 1PM on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Rhyan Glezman officiating. Burial at Cook Cemetery to follow. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday, November 28, 2025, from 12PM until 6PM and Saturday from 12PM until the time of service at 1PM. Those who wish may purchase flowers or make a donation to the Community Church of God in Clio.
Doug was born February 23, 1954, in Flint, to the late Donald and Norma (Arseneault) McIntyre. He graduated from Grand Blanc High School and attended Mott Community College where he received his carpentry certificate. On December 4, 1976, he married the love of his life, Victoria "Vicki" Webber. Prior to his retirement in 2010, he was a skilled trade carpenter at General Motors for over 30 years. Doug followed his lifelong passion of ministering by attending bible college at Agape Faith Fellowship Bible School, receiving his pastoral certificate in 2003. He proudly pastored at Abundant Grace Ministries in Bridgeport from its start in 2002, sharing the word of Christ with his congregation until his retirement in 2024. Doug was an accomplished pickleball, paddleball, and racquetball player and was a member of the National Paddleball Association, along with being the state champion racquetball and paddleball player. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and spending time with family – especially his grandchildren. Douglas was the most wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and dear friend who will be missed.
Doug is forever loved by: Wife, Vicki McIntyre; Children: Sarah (Jon) Switalski, Donald (Cheridee) McIntyre, and Deborah (Jim) Twardesky; Grandchildren: Sam (Darby) Switalski, Ally (Austin) Fry, Izzy (Ahmad) Haddad, Katie Switalski, Charlotte Switalski, Brett Tull, Chad McIntyre, Connor Twardesky, and Kensey Twardesky; Great Grandchildren: Ryker, Parker, Luna, Elliot, and two on the way; Siblings: Terry (Dan) Williams, Pat Mercer, and Wayne (Kim) McIntyre; Beloved dog, Millie; Many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Doug was preceded in death by: Parents, Don and Norma; Brother-in-law, Dan Mercer.
