Tobin Michael Hubbard

Tobin Michael Hubbard of Burton, lovingly known as Toby, entered into glory on February 28, 2026 with his family by his side at McLaren Hospital in Flint. He was 66 years old.

Toby was born on August 21,1959 in Flint, Michigan to Henry J. and Nancy Lee (Pierce) Hubbard. He graduated from Grand Blanc High School and hired into the truck plant at General Motors, where he worked for 31years. Following his retirement from General Motors, he drove a bus for the Atherton Public Schools and subbed in the surrounding school districts for 10 years.

Toby married the love of his life, Sandi, and they had two loving children, Josh and Angie. Toby was very active at Emmanuel Church of Grand Blanc, formerly Great Lakes Baptist Temple where he served the Lord faithfully as a bus driver, deacon, and Sunday School teacher. Toby had many roles but the ones that he was most passionate about pertained to family. Being a loving son, brother, husband, dad, papa, and uncle was what he did best. He loved and cared for his family well and led by example. Toby enjoyed studying the Bible, woodworking, reading, bird watching, camping, and building relationships. Toby had the gift of making everyone he knew feel special and the stories about him will be what keeps his memory alive for years to come. He truly cherished the time spent with his wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends.

He is survived by his father, Henry, his wife, Sandra, of 48 years, children, Joshua (Kristyn) Hubbard of Warrenton, VA and Angela (Tu) Tran of Round Rock, TX. Grandchildren, Ryan and Molly Hubbard; Hayden and Hudson Tran. Sister, Elizabeth (Dale) Stefanic. Brothers, Eric (Shelley) Hubbard and Thomas (Ann) Hubbard and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Toby was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, March 6, 2026 at Emmanuel Church of Grand Blanc located at 2112 E. Maple Ave., Flint, Michigan 48507 with Pastors John Scally and Brandon Robertson officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 AM Friday until the time of service.
