Diane Kay Mattson

Private family services for Diane K. Mattson, age 74, of Fairmont, MN, will be held at a later date with burial held in Lakeside Cemetery. Diane passed away Friday, August 1, 2025, surrounded by her family at the Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont. The Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Diane Kay (Kastning) Mattson was born February 15, 1951, in Fairmont, MN, the daughter of Maynard K. and Ruth A. (Holden) Kastning. Diane attended school in Fairmont and graduated from Fairmont High School.
On August 8, 1970, Diane was united in marriage to Douglas E. Mattson. The couple made their home in Fairmont and were blessed with a daughter, Rachel.
Diane enjoyed working in retail and worked for many years at Shopko and Sterling Drug in Fairmont.
Diane loved her family greatly and treasured spending time with her granddaughter.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Doug Mattson of Fairmont, MN; daughter, Rachel Greeley of Fairmont, MN; and a granddaughter, Hailee Greeley. She is also survived by several sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law; as well as many nieces, nephews, and some wonderful friends.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Maynard and Ruth Kastning; maternal grandparents, Chris and Ann Holden; paternal grandparents, Al and Irene Kastning; a brother, Dennis Kastning; and a brother-in-law, Marshall Mattson.
