Randy Mattson Obituary
ISHPEMING, MI - Randy “Wes” Mattson, age 74, of Ishpeming, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, leaving behind many memories shared with family and friends.
Randy was a graduate of Ishpeming High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Germany. Following his military service, Randy worked for many years at CCI before retiring. He was also a proud member of the Elks and the American Legion.
Randy was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He especially liked driving around to visit friends and spending time at camp, relaxing by the lake with a hot dog and a cold Miller Lite.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie (Niemela) Mattson and Wesley Mattson.
He is survived by his sons, Jeff Mattson and Andy Mattson; and his siblings, Elaine Mattson, Colleen Judici, Rachel Asgaard, Gar Mattson, Teresa Ide, and Karla Mattson.
Randy will be remembered for his love of family and friends, his service to his country, and the many good times shared with those who knew him.
Honoring Randy’s wishes no formal services will be held.
