Diane Kay Mennell
June 27, 1943 – September 20, 2023
Diane K. (Chinavare) Mennell was born on June 27, 1943 in Monroe to Dallas and Florence (Sigler) Chinavare. She graduated from Airport High School with the class of 1961.
On June 29, 1963 Diane married George Mennel at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rockwood. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2012. She worked for AT&T for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed playing cards, eating out, and time spent with family and friends.
Diane gained eternal life in the early evening hours of Wednesday, September 20th at Fountain View of Monroe.
She is survived by a son, Owen (Alison) Bourassa; two grandsons, John and Daniel (Bailey) Bourassa; one great-grandson, Alex Bourassa; one sister, Jo-Ann Stasa; one brother, Lee (Vicky) Chinavare; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Tom Mallon; a brother, Dallas Chinavare Jr.; and a brother in-law, Tom Stasa.
The family would like to thank the staff at Fountain View for their care and support of Diane over the past several months. Memorials may be made to the donor's charity of choice. A memorial Mass will be held in October or early November.
