Diane Renee (Ortiz) O'Connell, 51, received her wings and went to join her mother in heaven on January 16, 2025. Diane, affectionately known as Dee, Tiger, Babe, was born April 1, 1973, to William and Faustina Ortiz in Pueblo, Colorado. She attended Pueblo County High School, where she met the love of her life, Donny O'Connell. Dee and Donny were married on June 12, 1993, and together they raised 5 furbabies, Missy Loulou, Lukey, Daisy, Bo, and Al.
Diane worked in the Human Resources department of various Health Care Systems in Colorado, Las Vegas, and Oregon for over 30 years.
Dee had the most beautiful, contagious smile and the most loving heart. She reveled in living life to the fullest, embracing every opportunity for joy. Her love for Mickey Mouse, the Denver Broncos, her tattoos, and the thrill of gambling reflected her vibrant spirit. Concerts were her happy place, and she would eagerly join anyone who invited her along. Aunty Dee cherished her unique bond with all her nieces, nephews, and godchildren, always ready to go the extra mile for them because they meant the world to her.
Diane is survived by her husband, Donny O'Connell; her father, William Ortiz; her furbaby, Al; and extended family members. She is preceded in death by her mother, Faustina Ortiz; her furbabies, Missy Loulou, Lukey, Daisy, and Bo; her grandparents; and other family members.
Celebration of Life, 1 pm, Fri., March 7, 2025 at Family Worship Center.
