Diane Pierce Obituary
Diane "Ann" Floyd Pierce, age 80, of Trinity passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025 at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born June 25, 1944 in Randolph County, North Carolina the daughter of the late Edgar Floyd and Dora Barnes Floyd. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her sisters, Mozell Rayburn and Lois Manns and husband Luther; brother, Thurman Floyd and wife Reba. Diane affectionately known to many as Ann, graced the lives of all who knew her with a heart full of love and a spirit brimming with resilience. Ann graduated from Central Davidson High School in Lexington the class of 1962. Her days were filled with dedication, whether she was working alongside her beloved husband at D & D Auto Sales and later cooking hearty meals at the Village Restaurant in Denton. She loved planting flowers and found joy in her garden, it was a testament to her nurturing spirit. A woman of deep faith, Ann's devotion to her beliefs sustained her through life's challenges. Though her illness eventually kept her from attending services at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, her faith remained a cornerstone of her existence, providing strength and solace. Family was the centerpiece of Ann's world. She cherished her nieces and nephews, showering them with the same warmth and affection she extended to her entire family and close friends. Her presence was a comforting, one that will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 61 years, Dempsey Pierce; sisters, Gladys Brent, Harriett Pullum, Doris Cox and Sue Garner and husband Grady; numerous beloved nieces and nephews to whom she was like a mother; and other close family and friends. A graveside service will be held 11 AM Friday, May 16, 2025 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, 8138 Old Highway 64, Lexington, NC 27292 with Rev. Darren Hughes officiating.
