Diane died peacefully on September 15, 2025 with her family at her side. Diane was one of a kind with a zest for life.

She received her BFA from Boston University and she had many careers as an early educator, a business owner, a dog breeder, an antique dealer, and antique show promoter. A woman ahead of her time - she was generous to a fault, always advocating to help those in need where she could, and opening her home to almost anyone who needed a place to stay. Well-read and up on current events throughout the years, she always spoke her mind - often with colorful language.

She leaves behind her loving children Jeffrey Robbins and his wife Deirdre Schleigh, Scott Robbins and his partner Dan Goggin, her adoring granddaughter Janelle Wilson and her husband Stu, her great-grandchildren Will and Charlotte Wilson, loving family friend and "adopted" son Stephen Hannis, her brother William Rodman and his wife Ellen, and her niece Pam Rodman.

Born in Chelsea, MA in 1934, Diane was the daughter of Samuel and Ida Rodman. She is predeceased by her parents and her sister Barbara Rodman and many beloved dogs, cats, and horses.

Diane loved travel, attending the theater, going to museums and dinner out with friends. She was an avid reader and art collector with a love of learning. She had an incredible knack for finding unusual and striking jewelry, art, and small antique treasures everywhere she went. She hated to cook and clean.

The family wishes to thank caregivers Donna Sierer, Rose Mary Torres, Saida Arcentales, Tony Page, Sasharee Stewart and the thoughtful and caring staff at Brightview in Shelton, CT. Donations may be made to CT Humane Society - https://cthumane.org/?form=memorialtribute
