Diane Rheta DeAngelo Ryan, lovingly known as "Dee," of Mobile, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her home, on March 28, 2026, at the age of 90.
Born Diane Rheta DeAngelo on March 9, 1936, in Boston, Massachusetts, she was the cherished daughter of Antonio and Sadie DeAngelo.
Diane grew up in Quincy Massachusetts and attended Quincy High School.
Her life was a testament to her vibrant spirit and deep love for family and friends. Known for her infectious energy and warm personality, Diane was truly the life of the party. With a camera in hand, and Italian music playing in the background, she captured countless memories that will be treasured by all who knew and loved her..
Diane was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph Ryan; daughters: Maureen McBride and Robin Ryan; son, James Ryan; parents: Antonio and Sadie DeAngelo; sister, Gertrude "Gerry" Montgomery; and brother, Russell "Sonny" DeAngelo.
She is survived by her devoted children: Kevin Ryan (Kathleen) and Kimberly Ryan (Derrick); Grandchildren: Lisa Bowden (Chris), Christopher Ryan (Amanda) and Ryan McBride. Four great-grandchildren and niece, Karen Worsham (Cliff).
Diane's passion for celebrating life's moments left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to those she loved. Diane's vibrant spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 6040 Three Notch Rd, Mobile, Alabama. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and immediately following the service will be the burial at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery 6100 Three Notch Rd, Mobile, Alabama.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 4550 Montgomery Avenue, Suite 1100-N, Bethesda, MD 20814
