Diane Ann Sampson was born on September 21,1959 in Paterson, NJ to the late Mary Wesley and James Wesley Sr.
She was educated in the Paterson Public School System, attending School #24 and Eastside High School.
Diane was known for her charm, resilience, being resourceful, and always giving unconditional love to her family. Her "always making a way," mentality led her to become very popular amongst her peers within her neighborhood. She could always be found styling someone's hair, cooking a meal, or assisting someone in any way she could. She was a helper by nature and enjoyed doing so.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was faithful member of the Main Street Baptist Church in Excelsior Springs, Missouri before her passing.
On Friday, January 19, 2024, while sleeping peacefully in her home, Diane answered God's call and departed this life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and James Wesley Sr., and her ex-husband, Tommie Sampson.
Diane leaves wonderful memories to her two beautiful daughters; Quashinda and Shanetta Wesley, three amazing sons; Nigel, Dashawn, and Shamir (Philomena) Sampson, seven loving grandchildren; Diarre Chitty, Isaiah, Nyla, Jayvion, Madison, Carter, and Nouri Sampson, two sisters; Rosetta and Janet Wesley, two brothers; James (Janet) and Joseph (Curly) Wesley, loving nieces and nephews; Shaquana Wesley, Katena Wesley, Sylvia Weeks, Diymara Wesley, Kenisgra Wesley, Jerry Weeks, Rasheem Weeks, and Jason Wesley, a dear friend she considered a daughter; Taisha Smith, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Diane's life and legacy impacted all those she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed.
