Passed away on February 29, 2024.
Diane was born and raised in Penns Grove, New Jersey. She was one of ten children born to the late John and Lena (Behringer) Stout. Diane was a proud 1965 graduate of Penns Grove High School. While there she excelled as a baton twirler in the band. She was an avid reader her entire life and was a member of many book clubs through the years.
After high school Diane went to work for Lettica Manufacturing but her true calling in life was to be a mother. She was happiest when her family was with her. Diane loved waking up early to see the sun rise and hardly missed a sunset. She was a lover of the shore, especially Wildwood, NJ, where her family made many trips together. Diane was a kind soul, and she always had a nice word to share with those she knew.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Evelyn, Eleanor, Blanche, Doris, and John; her son-in-law, Brian; and her two best friends, Annie Miller and Ginny Steffier
Diane was immensely loved and will be missed by her children, Tex, John, Chris, and Tressa; her grandchildren, David (Katie) and Destiny; and her great granddaughter, Olivia Jade. She is also survived by her sisters, Norma, Mildred, and Frances; her 4-legged grandbaby, Mouse; her sisters-in-law, Sherly and Patty; her dear friends, Mary Lee and Debbie Miller; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation for Diane on Thursday, March 14 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805. Service and Interment will be held privately.
