Diane Garza Sendejo, a gentle and kind soul, was born on August 5, 1959, in San Antonio, Texas. She departed this life on November 28, 2024, in the same beloved city, surrounded by the loving family she married into. Diane’s presence brought warmth and laughter to everyone who knew her. She had a soft-spoken nature that could put anyone at ease, and her caring spirit was evident in every interaction.
Diane took great pride in her role as a mother, pouring her love into her daughters, Melissa Ruiz (Miguel) and Eva Musgrave (Jesse), often teaching them how to cook and sharing many cherished moments in the kitchen. Her selflessness extended beyond her children to her grandchildren, J.T., Jasmine, and Andreanna Tharp, and Ben and Laila Ruiz, as well as her great-grandson, Hudson Paul Richardson. Diane’s love for her grandchildren and great-grandson was boundless, offering them her wisdom, care, and endless affection.
In addition to being a devoted mother and grandmother, Diane had many interests that brought happiness to her life and to those around her. She found peace and satisfaction in crocheting, allowing her creativity to flourish in every stitch. She also brought joy to others by sharing funny memes that made her smile and spread laughter within the family. This sense of connection extended beyond humor—Diane had a curious mind, always eager to learn and deepen her bonds with others, enriching her relationships with those she loved.
Diane will be remembered for her steady kindness, boundless patience, and the grace with which she faced life’s challenges. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolfo San Miguel Sendejo and Mary Anne Garza, as well as her beloved in-laws, Pedro P. Gamez and Beatrice Marie Gamez, who embraced her as one of their own.
She is survived by the family that was always there for her including Ronald Gamez, Anthony Gamez (Martha), Henry Gamez, and her sister-in-law Cheryl Deleranko (David). Diane is also remembered with immense love by her niece Ivy Hurley (Evan) and her other niece Lori Deleranko (Bryan), who hold dear the memories they created together.
In honoring Diane’s life, a Celebration of Life service will be held on January 18, 2025, at Primrose Funeral Services in Lytle, Texas, where family and friends will gather to share stories, memories, and a deep love for a remarkable woman whose legacy will live on in each heart she touched.
Diane Garza Sendejo will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as her spirit continues to shine brightly through the lives of her chosen family and friends.
