Diane Mary Stanton

Diane Mary Stanton, 71, of Erie, Michigan, passed into eternal life with her savior on November 22, 2025. Diane was born on August 30, 1954, in Toledo, Ohio and was the daughter of Bernard John and Mary Jane (Dazell) Stanton. A 1972 graduate of Bedford High School, Daine went to work for Libby Glass, Freightway, and then received her degree in occupational therapy from Lourdes College in in Sylvania, Ohio. Diane worked briefly at Sunshine Children's Home and then opened her home to care for many children as she raised her daughter, Karley, who was the pride and joy of her life. In later years, Karley was also her devoted caregiver as her health declined.
Diane is survived by her loving daughter, Karley Stanton; brothers, Gary (Helen) Stanton, Mark (Julie) Stanton; sisters, Debbie (Skip) Blitz, Marlene (Denny) Brecht, Marie Moore; brother-in-law, Tom Fox; sister-in-law, Judy Stanton, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard Stanton, and Mary Jane Blitz; brothers, Tom Stanton, and Roger Stanton; twin brothers, Michael, and Joseph Stanton; sister, Sandra Fox, and brother-in-law, Grady Moore. The family would like to thank Tracy, with Elara Hospice, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, and Hickory Ridge for their exceptional care for Daine. Above all, Diane will be remembered for her quiet strength, her generosity, and the deep love she carried for her family.
Celebration of her life will be private.
