Diane Mary Stoebner, age 78, formerly of Tripp, died Sunday, December 7, 2025 at St. Michael's Hospital in Tyndall.

Visitation will be held 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Thursday, December 11 at Friedens Reformed Church in Tripp.

Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 12 at Friedens Reformed Church.

Burial will be at Friedens Reformed Church Cemetery in Tripp.

Diane Mary Stoebner was born December 24, 1946 to Leo and Mary (Willett) Haiar in Farmer, SD. She was a May 15, 1964 graduate of Farmer High School. Diane married Elton Stoebner, October 5, 1968 at Friedens Reformed Church in Tripp. They made their home on a farm near Tripp where they raised their three children, Michael, Lisa and Wayne.

Diane held a lifelong banking career, beginning at banks in Fulton and Mitchell before working at Dakota State Bank in Tripp, which became First State Bank and is now known as BankWest. Diane enjoyed reading, puzzles, word search books, baking, bowling, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren, especially attending their activities. She was a member of the Tripp Jaycee-Ettes, Friedens Women’s Guild, the Church Consistory and served as a Sunday School Teacher.

Diane is survived by her husband of 57 years, Elton of Scotland; children, Michael (Dawn) Stoebner of Tripp, Lisa (Daryl) Dewey of Sioux Falls and Wayne (Lisa) Stoebner of Tripp; grandchildren, Casey Eberhardt, Kyle Eberhardt, Brianna (Micah) De Waard, Ethan (Michaela) Stoebner, McKenzie (Ian) Fisher, Taylor Van Pelt, Logan (Anna) Van Pelt, Jaden Van Pelt and Ian Dewey; great-grandchildren, Oaklee De Waard, Berklee Van Pelt, McKaiah Eberhardt and Irie Eberhardt; siblings, Don (Connie) Haiar of Hudson, CO, Leroy (Betty) Haiar of Spearfish, Richard (Sally) Haiar of Wilson, MI, Elaine (Tom) Fox of Sioux Falls, Lyle (Marilyn) Haiar of Corsica, Lynn (Diane) Haiar of Alexandria and Janine (Leland) VanEmmerick of Salem and sister-in-law, Mary Beth Haiar of Sioux Falls.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Mary Haiar; brothers, Duane (Jean) Haiar and Francis Haiar and sister, Phyllis Haiar.
