Diane Vickers Obituary
Diane worked for many years as a CNA. She loved going to the casino and enjoyed attending car shows with Fred, playing dominos and using her phone for facebook and sending messages to her family. She also enjoyed knitting.
She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and had a special bond with her grandson, Jared.
She is survived by her children, Joan Lundvquist and husband Bertil of MN, Lisa Mongitore and partner Drew of Winsted, Anthony "Tony" Mongitore and wife Tanya of Winsted and Joseph Mongitore of Winsted; step children, Vicki Franculli and husband Frank of Bakersville and Fred Vickers and wife Diane of Torrington; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by 4 brothers, George Williams, Eugene Williams, John Williams and Richard Williams; stepson, Richard Vickers and step granddaughter, Audrey Vickers.
A Celebration of Diane's life will held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted from 4 – 6 PM. Burial will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery in Bristol in the spring. Visit an online guestbook at montano-shea.com.

Diane was a standout woman who I had the greatest privilege to care for the past few years. As one of her sides, I´m sure I´m not alone in experiencing her kindness and encouragement to do well, to improve and strive for excellence. I had really hoped Diane would be able to return to her sweet home but it was not to be. Sending my deepest sympathies to Diane´s family as you grieve the loss of your dear mom, grandmother, aunt, friend.
