Diane B. Young Caudell

Diane B. Young Caudell, 86, widow of Raymond L. Caudell, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at her home in Lexington. She was born on December 14, 1938, in Lexington to the late James and Mary J. Carr Young. She worked for the School Board in Palm Beach County, Florida, was a receptionist for Sturgill, Barker, and Moloney, PLLC, and for many years in the Fayette County School System. She spent over 20 years spreading love through her hospitality and food at the Roy Lancaster Auction House. She will be remembered by family and friends for her Sunday night suppers, Christmas Yankee swap parties, her porch teas, and bon fire's on the farm. She would often say "It Gives Me Purpose".
Diane will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Heather Carpenter, Versailles, sister, Judith (Henry) Mathis, Lexington, grandchildren, Gabe Carpenter, Nicholas Carpenter, and Keira Stigers.
A celebration of life will be held at 3pm on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Roy Lancaster Auction House in Versailles. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Woodford Humane Society, PO Box 44, Versailles, KY 40383, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, wwww.StJude.org.
