Diane Riggs passed away on January 5th, 2026, in Fulshear, Texas, at the age of 80. Born on January 2, 1946, in
Pineville, Kentucky, Diane's life was a testament to her enduring spirit and the values she held dear.
Diane's life was marked by an unwavering commitment to her family, faith, and community. She was a beloved wife to David Riggs, with whom she shared a beautiful, enduring marriage of 60 years. Together, they built a life founded on mutual respect, devotion, and love. Diane's role as a mother was evident in her nurturing and guidance of her son, Troy Riggs. She embraced Kara Riggs, her daughter-in-law, with open arms, extending her love and support as the family grew.
Diane's warmth and generosity of spirit extended to her nephew, John Michael Lockard, and his wife, Madison, whom she cherished as her own. Her role as a grandmother was among her greatest joys, and she reveled in the lives of her grandsons, David William Riggs and his wife, Krystyn, and Caleb Thomas Riggs and his wife, Madeline. Each of them felt the depth of Diane's love and the strength of her character in every moment they shared.
Throughout her professional life, Diane was a respected figure in the insurance industry, retiring in 2013. Her colleagues admired her for her integrity, work ethic, and the kindness she brought to her work every day.
Diane's interests reflected her love for life and the people in it. She found immense pleasure in supporting her grandsons at their sporting events and activities, always their most enthusiastic cheerleader. Quilting was another of her interests.
Diane's love extended to the family pets, whom she adored and pampered.
Diane will be remembered as a loving, generous, and faith-filled soul. Her life was a living example of the well-known verse, "And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love" (1 Corinthians 13:13). This scripture not only guided her but was also embodied in every action and relationship.
Diane Riggs will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, generosity, and faith will live on in the hearts of her family and in the many lives she touched. We take comfort in knowing that her spirit has found peace with Jesus, and we rejoice and are thankful for the love she shared with us all.
