Obituary published on Legacy.com by Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Service - Yorktown Blvd. on Mar. 10, 2026.
Lance passed peacefully with his wife by his side after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He fought with determination and strength-like a champion-never giving up hope and meeting each challenge with resolve and grace.
A devoted father of six and grandfather of one, Lance's children and grandchild were everything to him. He took immense pride and joy in their lives and accomplishments, and nothing made him happier than seeing them whenever he could. His love for them was constant, deep, and unwavering.
In his youth, Lance was an athlete who embraced life with energy and enthusiasm, enjoying football, baseball, soccer, and basketball. As the years went on, he found joy on the golf course, carrying with him the same passion and appreciation for the game. That passion also extended to his unwavering love for his Fighting Texas Aggies, whom he followed with true devotion and pride.
Caring for others came naturally to Lance-it was simply who he was. He loved fiercely and showed up without hesitation. You could count on him, no matter the circumstance. Those who knew him felt his loyalty, generosity, and steady presence, and he made the people he loved feel truly seen and cherished, holding them in a special grace. That same love extended to his many pets, as he could never say no to an animal in need of a warm and loving home.
Lance was loved by all who met him. He had a way of touching lives with purpose, leaving a lasting impression that will not be forgotten. He was one of those rare people who entered your life for a reason.
As the saying goes, life is not measured by the years we live, but by the lives we touch and the memories we share. By that measure, Lance's life was full.
Lance was welcomed into heaven by many loved family members: father Larry Savant, grandfather Harold Savant; grandmother Myrtle Savant; uncle Dale Savant; uncle Glenn Savant; cousins Shawn Savant and Karen Savant.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Left behind to cherish and carry on his memory: his loving wife, Molly Savant, daughter Morgan Wallace, daughter Macy Dodds and husband Tyler, daughter Mya Savant, daughter MacKenna Savant, son Braden Savant, daughter Morgan Savant, granddaughter Milani Walker, mother Melissa Savant, brother Bradley Savant and wife Lindsey, and nephews Will Savant and Ben Savant.
