Diann A. Thomas, age 79, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon (March 31, 2024) at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
She was born on January 27, 1945 in Fond du Lac, WI, the only child of Herbert and Gladys (Tackes) Ramel. Diann graduated from Kewaskum High School in 1963.
On October 15, 1966, she married Donald A. Thomas. They lived in Kewaskum after marriage, moving to Random Lake in 1969 where the owned a hobby farm, raising many animals throughout the years, before settling in Plymouth in 2009. Donald preceded her in death on January 5, 2012.
Diann was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth where she belonged to the Daughters of Isabella for many years and was a former member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish in Random Lake.
She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers, crocheting, was a 4-H Leader for many years, traveling (especially her trip to Alaska) and spending time with loving family and friends.
Survivors include: Her loving children: Tracy Thomas of Greenbush, Tammy Thomas of Milwaukee, Todd (Michelle) Thomas of West Bend and Terry (Odis) Collins of
Victorville, CA; Grandchildren: Brittney Johnston (Evan Klug), Logan Johnston, Aaliyah Thomas (fiancé: Jacinto Garcia-Gamboa), Ashley Thomas, Steven Thomas (fiancé: Jeb Holt), Jessica Thomas (fiancé: Johnny Yepez), Dylan Thomas, Trey Brown, Travis Brown; Two great-grandsons: Jona Barbosa and Giuseppe Garcia-Gamboa; Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Theresa Kirst of Plymouth, Ruth Thomas of Plymouth, David (Theresa) Thomas of Random Lake, Harry Thomas of Random Lake, and Joseph and Annette Thomas of Random Lake. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Diann was preceded In death by: Tracy's loving companion: Brian Johnston; Brothers-in-law: Eugene Kirst, Paul Thomas and Carl Thomas; Sister-in-law, Marlene Thomas; and her fur baby companion, Bella.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday morning (April 6, 2024) at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Visitation will take place from 10:00-11:30am, with Mass to follow at 11:30am. Father Subi Thomas will officiate. Cremation will follow the Mass and Inurnment will be in St. Nicholas Catholic Cemetery in Dacada.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Diann's name.
